Well, this Thanksgiving, for me, marks the first Thanksgiving that has gone by without my cousin, Tasha. She passed away at the beginning of the year, and it was obvious that the family was struggling to maintain our normal Thanksgiving behavior. But it was different. It gets different every year.
Everything does.
My cousin, Tash's sister, even went as far as to make me Google Tasha's name. I was overwhelmed with her obituaries and I almost couldn't take it. And I can't help but to think that, if it's this hard for me, who saw Tash once a year, how hard is it for them?
I'm getting depressed. Just gonna go read a book and settle in for the night. Glad the day is over.
